Roy Howard, PA-C

Roy E. Howard, PA-C, is a Certified Physician Assistant at Anchorage Dermatology & Cosmetics. Roy has extensive experience in the field and is devoted to providing high-quality and personalized care to the people of Anchorage, Alaska.

Roy began his education at Skagit Valley College, studying Pre Med. Several years later, he furthered his studies at Western Washington State College in Bellingham, Washington. He then graduated from the University of Washington MEDEX Northwest Program in Seattle, Washington, a few years later.

Also during this time, Roy served in the U.S. Army, Ft. Sam Houston, as Combat Medic, at Asmara Ethiopia Kagnew Station in Ethiopia as Army Security Agency Ward Master, at Itege Mennen School of Nursing as an Instructor, and at Valley Forge General Hospital in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, as a Clinical Specialist – Ward Master and Instructor.

Roy has extensive experience in the field, working for various practices from 1974-2020. From 2003-2020 Roy worked as a Physician Assistant at Independence Park Medical Services, a Dermatology Clinic in Family Practice Setting in Anchorage, Alaska.

In 2020, Roy joined  Anchorage Dermatology & Cosmetics as a Physician Assistant, working with Dr. Courtney Bagayoko.

Roy is a proud recipient of the Outstanding Teacher Award from the University of Washington MEDEX Alumni Association for Preceptor for PA students. He also serves as Guest Lecturer for numerous organizations and foundations, including:

• State of Alaska Academy of Nurse Practitioners

• Breast Cancer Association
• Local schools
• Civil organizations
